02 — Why it matters

More than appearance

Weight is a measurable part of your overall health.

Diabetes is defined by specific blood sugar and A1C thresholds. It is characterized by high blood glucose levels occurring because the body does not make enough insulin or cannot use it properly.

03 — Your program

A clear, guided path

Nurse-led, team-based care designed to help you reach your goal and sustain it.

1

Initial visit

A comprehensive evaluation of your individual needs, with an achievable plan and goal.

2

First follow-up

In 3 to 6 weeks, we review progress and tailor your treatment plan to what's working.

3

Ongoing follow-up

Tailored visits, in person or virtual, up to and through your weight-loss goal.

Move & hydrate

Regular physical exercise, and 64 fl oz or more of water daily. GLP-1 can reduce thirst, which can lead to dehydration — an app reminder can help.

Eat well & regulate digestion

A balanced diet with lean protein, fruits, and vegetables. GLP-1 slows gastric emptying; an OTC stool softener may be used if needed.

04 — The medicine

Semaglutide vs. Tirzepatide

When you eat, your digestive tract releases GLP-1 and your pancreas releases insulin.

Single receptor

Semaglutide

A glucose-like peptide (GLP-1) receptor agonist that works on one hormone receptor — the GLP-1 receptor.

Dual receptor

Tirzepatide

Works on both glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and GLP-1 as a dual receptor agonist.
